Since 2013, CAFE has invited stakeholders from across all levels of sport to join their annual celebration of access, inclusion and many diverse roles that disabled people can play right across the industry.
CAFE, which is funded by UEFA as a Corporate & Social Responsibility partner, estimates that at least 500,000 disabled people within the extended UEFA European region are likely to be active football supporters, with many more aspiring to become match-going supporters.
The CAFE Week of Action is the largest celebration of its kind, offering disabled fans and their groups (DSAs), clubs, venues, leagues, federations, NGOs, and everyone passionate about access and inclusion the chance to come together in promoting #TotalAccess.
To mark the CAFE Week of Action as 1907 ÜNİFEB, we escorted our guests to Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium. This way, as volunteers, we have also experienced the hardships that they have to endure in daily activities. Then, joined the Fenerbahçe stadium and museum tour and experienced the atmosphere together. After that, we entered the Fenerbahçe-Sevilla UEFA Europa League game and moved on with our project #GörmezdenGelme in which we narrate the live game descriptively to our visually impaired guests.
Our aim was to fulfill the “Access for All” principle and make visually impaired people involved in the atmosphere and experience the game with all its beauty – with other fans, chants, and all the excitement.
More and more disabled football supporters wish to travel to football matches and tournaments both at home and abroad. With our project, we wanted to set an example for all the sports clubs, DSAs and fan organizations to support #TotalAccess.
UEFA’nın kurumsal ve sosyal sorumluluk ortağı olan CAFE, UEFA Avrupa bölgesindeki en az 500.000 engelli kişinin aktif futbol taraftarı olduğunu ve çok daha fazlasının maçlara düzenli olarak katılmak isteyeceğini düşünüyor.
CAFE, 2013’ten bu yana sporun her seviyesinden paydaşları erişim, katılım ve engelli kişilerin sektörde oynayabilecekleri çok çeşitli rolleri vurgulamak için CAFE Eylem Haftası’nı düzenliyor.
CAFE Eylem Haftası, engelli taraftarlara ve gruplarına, kulüplere, liglere, federasyonlara, STK’lara ve erişim ve katılım konusunda tutkulu olan herkese #TotalAccess’i desteklemek için bir araya gelme şansı sunuyor.
CAFE Eylem Haftası sebebiyle 1907 ÜNİFEB olarak misafirlerimize Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadı’na kadar eşlik ettik. Bu sayede gönüllüler olarak onların günlük yaşamda katlanmak zorunda kaldıkları zorlukları biz de yaşamış olduk. Daha sonra Fenerbahçe stadı ve müze turuna katılarak atmosferi birlikte yaşadık. Ardından Fenerbahçe-Sevilla UEFA Avrupa Ligi maçına girdik ve görme engelli misafirlerimiz için maçı betimleyici olarak anlattığımız #GörmezdenGelme projemizi gerçekleştirdik.
Amacımız “Herkes İçin Erişim” ilkesini yerine getirerek görme engelli taraftarlarımızı atmosfere dahil ederek oyunu tüm güzelliğiyle- diğer taraftarlar, tezahüratlar ve tüm heyecanla- görme engelli taraftarlarımıza deneyimletmekti.
Giderek daha fazla engelli futbol taraftarı hem yurt içinde hem de yurt dışında futbol maçlarına ve turnuvalara seyirci olarak katılmak istiyor. Projemizle #TotalAccess’i destekleyerek tüm spor kulüpleri, STK’lar ve taraftar organizasyonlarına örnek teşkil etmek istedik.
